Every Toon starts playing Toontown.com with a free Twig rod. Twig rods are good and you can catch a lot of fish with them but if you fancy catching something more interesting or rare then you need to know about fishing in toontown....

Everyone wants to catch the rare fish. My advice is to buy each of the rods in turn and to try all of the ponds and piers and be patient!!
In Toontown it doesn't matter how well you cast your fishing line, it makes no difference to the type of fish you will catch
It depends what fish you want to catch as to which rod you choose to use in Toontown
It is easier to catch light fish with a light rod, like a twig rod.
Heavier fish need a stronger rod, like a gold rod.
If you use the gold rod for fishing in Toontown you have more chance of catching a fish successfully, because there are more fish that can be caught with a gold rod.
Devil Rays are rare in Toontown
To be in with a chance of catching a devil ray you need to be fishing in Donalds Dreamland
Experiment with different rods and be patient!
The rarest fish on Toontown are the Bear Acuda and the Piano Tuna
You need to be an advanced toon to catch a super rare Bear Acuda and the Piano Tuna
If you are a determined advanced toon then fish for a bear acuda on Walrus Way and a seldom-seen Piano Tuna on Tenor Terrace
The only place you can catch a frozen fish is in the place where it is winter all year round, where you can go ice fishing, in the Brrrgh.
Donalds Dock is the best place to catch a cutthroat trout, and also king crab and dog fish
