This much we know!
I've been reading tarot cards all my life. Clients are often nervous before a first reading with me, but there is no need to be!
This guide to what happens during a reading aims to help anyone who is feeling nervous about having their cards read.
If nerves are all that is preventing you from having a tarot reading, I hope this guide puts your mind at ease.
I do all my tarot readings in my studio at home, it is cosy and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house.
I will always chat to my client to put them at ease, you don't need to be on your guard checking that you're not giving away information that might give me clues. The initial chat is just to make you feel at ease.
I will then shuffle my tarot cards and hand them to you to shuffle. I will ask you for a piece of your jewellery such as a watch, bracelet, necklace or ring. I find holding a piece of your jewellery enhances your tarot reading.
My client then selects some tarot cards, the exact number depends on which layout of cards I am using.
The tarot lay out I prefer is a horseshoe layout as I find this gives me more information.
I will then read your cards
Do you tell people bad news, if you could see something terrible happening would you tell me?
I would give you advice about trying to lessen the impact of what lies ahead, but would never say "You will be in a car crash next week".
No, I'd prefer it if you didn't tell me. I don't like to have too much information.
A reading lasts about an hour, but can take longer.
No, I just look and dress the same as everyone else.
No. I look at your aura and that helps me with my reading, but I don't go into a trance.
